Ferrite Magnetic Materials
Ferrite materials have been around since the 1950’s and can be seen in a huge variety of applications from fridge magnets to speaker rings. They offer an excellent cost/quality mix. The material can be operated in temperatures between -40°C to +250°C. Due to the materials characteristics is does not suffer from corrosion.
Both the Isotropic and Anisotropic materials described below can be supplied in various grades depending on the specific application. Our engineers would be pleased to advise you of the best grade for your particular application on request.
Isotropic Ferrite
Isotropic ferrite materials are a very low in cost and can be magnetised in various directions as per customer requirements. This material is most commonly found in fridge/button magnets that can be seen in office planning boards etc.
A-Mag Systems Limited can supply this particular material in either disc, ring or block form as standard. Various other non-standard configurations can be supplied as per customer requirements upon request.
Anisotropic Ferrite
Anisotropic ferrite magnets are utilised where magnetic strength and overall quality is of importance. This particular material is widely used within the loudspeaker industry. The material can be magnetised in any direction, but once the magnetisation process is complete anisotropic ferrite materials can not be changed.
We can supply this material in either disc, block or ring forms as standard. Various non-standard applications are available upon request.
